Clothing Ministry

At Whitney United Methodist Church we believe that we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Our mission is to feed our community Spiritually, Intellectually and Physically.  One way we do this is through Joseph’s Closet.

JOSEPH’S CLOSET, our seasonal warm clothing ministry, provides free coats, hats, gloves, scarves and socks to those in our neighborhood who need them.

When we are open:

Joseph’s Closet opens on the third Friday of October each year.

The Closet is open every Tuesday & Saturday and every 3rd Friday of each month  until the closing date, 3rd Friday in January.

Tuesdays 10 a.m. – noon
Saturdays 10:30 a.m. – noon
3rd Fridays 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Ways you can be involved: We always need donations of new or gently used warm coats, warm hats, warm gloves, warm scarves and gently used/new warm socks for all ages and sizes.
We cannot accept any other items due to space issues.
Monetary donations are also welcomed and will be spent to buy items we need.

If you have a donation, please call the church office (208-343-2892) to let us know when you can drop it off. Thank you!
